Under cabinet lighting gives the travertine (aka limestone) backsplash a warm glow, texture depth, and brings it together with the warm brown lower cabinetry. Otherwise the kitchen is nearly monochrome with simple thick white marble counters and an almost invisibly flat glass cook top. This would be a really great kitchen.
